Before I go deeper about the topic, search ranking I mean here is the visibility or display of your website on search engine results like Google, Yahoo, MSN, Bing and many others. For example, if you search keyword for ‘Internet business’ on Google or whatever search engine that you use, the result that came out on the front page of the search engines are sites that have a high visibility than the other sites on the second page and so on. This search ranking will be lost if some point that I mention below will occur. Here are the things that you must avoid so you do not lose your ‘search ranking’ on Search engine.
1. Website Modification
Here how search engine – it will take a whole website including the link-link that connects. It Seem like capture the image. When this process is complete, the site will be indexed. Any significant changes such as changes in web page design, link, Flash, Ajax and JavaScript navigation will affect search ranking.
That will be more worst if the website completely changes from design to content. What is happening is that the website will start from zero, the return to the days when it was new-made and uploaded to the server. However, this does not include when to change the theme for the blog, as long as it does not modified any of the link structure, tags and categories available.
2. Losing Backlink
When talking about online or Internet, the main point that important is the link or connecting to the other site. Link is a critical mechanism to the search engine to find a site and also the basis for them to give ranking. We can either get the backlink (the link back to your site) are organic, link exchange or buy links from other sites that already have high search ranking. The longer backlink you can get is the more good.
Only the problem is, there are static websites or blogs that we have a backlink in them, may not update (a page that expires), deliberately did not want to put your link or any other reason. This think will bring a big loss of backlink to your site. This will also affect your search ranking. Avoid this by building an active backlink in order to accommodate the loss of existing.
3. Web Content Are Not Original
Publish the contents not belong to you, it is referred as ’Duplicate content’. Delivering content like that will cause confusion in the search engines. Imagine if the same article can be accessed by different URLs. For example, two 100% same article entitled ‘Cause Pimple’ produced by two different blogs. Such [http://www.pimpletips.com/how-pimple-occur/] and the other one [http://www.healthytips.com/cause-of-pimple/]. When this happens the search engines had to determine which one is original article. Search engines do not want to show the two results are 100% the same. If this happens it really affects the performance of your site in search results.
Publish article that not belong to you on your page / blog is not guilty of ethics, but important is you got permission to do that. Only if viewed from the perspective of search rankings it does not bring any benefit.
So now you know how this three points or situation can bring a bad impact to your blog ranking especially on the visibility to appear on search engine. To avoid the mistake from happen to you blog in the future, the main point is, make sure you post 100% unique article for your blog post. That is the main point actually. Only that way you can attract search engine to index your site because the love fresh content.

Does anyone know a good, reliable search engine other than these two? I’ve tried Lycos in the past and it seemed a little shallow. Any suggestions?
